Program overviewPrésentation

From biological questions to quantitative models Des questions biologiques aux modèles quantitatifs

BIM combines core concepts from biology—including genetics, genomics, evolution and neuroscience—with statistics, machine learning, artificial intelligence and complex-systems modeling. The goal is to train students to address biological and biomedical questions through advanced data analysis and computational modeling.

A program shared by Computer Science and BiologyUn parcours commun à l'informatique et à la biologie

The BIM program is affiliated with both the Master's in Computer Science and the Master's in Molecular and Cellular Biology (BMC). Students enter with different backgrounds and build the complementary skills required for modern bioinformatics.

An interdisciplinary programUn parcours interdisciplinaire

Teaching brings together faculty from different disciplines. Courses, projects and research interactions are designed to help students connect biological questions with computational and quantitative approaches.
